I've been a fan of www.everpix.com for some time. It's a fantastic service, which allows you to upload an unlimited about of photos online. However, Flickr just came out with a 1TB deal. For free. That's hard to beat.
There's a saying somewhere that 80% of success in life is about just showing up. That's true for any business, and in San Francisco, there are a lot of great events on all over the city. If you're an entreprenur based in Ireland, you'll do well to get over here and start showing up at events. It's very hard to try to have a US based business with US clients without having someone on the ground on your behalf or being here yourself.
Technical Co-FoundersOne of the biggest lessons I learned is to try and get a fantastic team around you, right away. Being a solo founder, without any real technical team is very very hard. Investors need to see that you have a great CTO behind you, no matter what. One of the questions that investors will keep asking you is "Do you code?" if you don't you need to have someone who does. Get your team over hereIt's so much easier to work with guys when you're sitting next to them, rather than trying to arrange Skype calls in the morning and at night. Companies don't buy solo founders, they buy teams, preferably teams that work and live here. Get an offer? Take it!I've made the mistake on a couple of occasions of turning down great offers because I thought I could continue to grow the company and do better down the line. Looking back, this was a mistake, because I did not have a great team behind me and the software we developed was ok, but not world class.
