I work with Voxpro, and have helped grow the company's sales from $20M to $80M in 3 years. We brought on customers like Nest, Stripe, Airbnb, Weebly, Etsy and Redbubble since I joined. I'm responsible for business development in North America.
I also help Enterprise Equity as a Venture partner, working with them to help portfolio companies based in San Francisco.
For fun, I organize the Drones, Data X Conference and MobiityX, which takes place in San Francisco and Dublin.
Previously I was the CEO of TapMap.com, a company which enabled retailers to upload realtime data about products on their shelves. Consumers with mobile devices could scan a barcode and find the location of that product, as well as the price in local stores. The company was started in Ireland and moved to Silicon Valley. We raised money from angel investors in Ireland the UK and Russia. Built using Ruby, with a development team in Dallas and Belarus.
GrokLabs was a spinoff of TapMap. Groklabs is an iOS and Android app that allows you to extract price data from shelf labels. GrokLabs is currently in beta.
I advised Building Eye, a website that aggregates data from cities and helps people to find out about upcoming building projects. It's a big ambitious site, and will be very valuable for the construction and real estate industry. It's being built using PostGreSQL with PostGIS
I was the founder and CEO of Inspire Nation from 2003 to 2008. We helped companies to discover international best practice in financial services, urban policy, innovation and social innovation. Clients included the World Bank, Virgin Airlines, UK Government and the Dubai Development Authority.
